Pathways Certification Process

A Note on CCMA Certification

In March 2023, the USCCB made the decision to discontinue its work certifying lay ecclesial ministers nationally, which means our current USCCB-approved certification program will sunset in December 2026.

If you are already certified, your certification remains fully valid, nothing changes for you. If you are currently in the process, we will see you through to completion.

Looking ahead, we are conducting a full audit of our certification process, led by Lisa Lytwyn, LAUNCH Coordinator and Certification Program Evaluation & Development Consultant. Our goal is to launch a renewed process by June 2027.

If you are not currently in the process but are interested in future certification, you can join the waitlist here:

Questions about your current status or where you are in the process?

Reach out to Courtney Hull, Pathways Certification Coordinator, at pathways@ccmanetwork.org.
