LAUNCH Event Gathers Campus Ministers from Around the Nation

LAUNCH, CCMA’s 1st-5th year orientation program, took place from June 27-30 at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. We had 23 participants from all over the country for a week of prayer, fellowship and training. Topics included mental health, evangelization, the interior life, pastoral care and time management.

Each day featured Holy Mass, opportunities to network, practical workshops and personal practicum. We were delighted to host guest speakers each day of the event.

Our planning team included our event director, Lisa Lytwyn of the University of Maryland Catholic Student Center along with Jule Coppa of the UPenn Newman Center, Michael St. Pierre of CCMA and Tony Krzmarzick of Seton Hill University.

Participants said the following about the event:

  • I came away from LAUNCH with new ways of thinking about the spirituality of goal setting as it relates to my ministry. I am excited this summer to think creatively about how I can be more intentional about my work and desired outcomes (for myself and our office) for the upcoming year.

  • LAUNCH provided me with exactly the tools I was looking for to prepare myself for the year ahead as a new campus minister! I absolutely feel the expereince was worth it and impactful.

  • It was everything I needed just to remember I’m not alone in this mission. I’m sharing this desire to reveal Christ and His Church to young adults with more people than I considered.

  • LAUNCH was an incredible week of building community among new campus ministry leaders and being equipped with practical tools for implementation back on campus.
