Introducing CCMA's New Executive Board Leadership: Meet Troy Woytek and Hilary Draftz!

We are thrilled to introduce two incredible leaders at the helm of the CCMA Executive Board! Let’s get to know our new Chair and Vice Chair, Troy Woytek and Hilary Draftz, who bring years of experience, passion, and heart for campus ministry.

Meet Troy Woytek, CCMA’s New Chair

Troy Woytek is stepping into his role as Chair of the CCMA Executive Board, and we couldn’t be more excited. Currently the Director of Ministry at the Catholic Student Center at WashU, Troy has spent an impressive 20 years in campus ministry, guiding countless students on their faith journey. Fun fact: Troy has served on the CCMA Executive Board for two terms and has chaired the Program Committee for three years. Talk about dedication!

Troy’s vision for CCMA is ambitious and inspiring. He wants CCMA to be the first resource that campus ministers turn to when they’re looking for ways to grow their ministry, evangelize more students, and become more effective leaders. He dreams of a unified network of Catholic campus ministries across the country working collaboratively to achieve their goals. And, of course, he hopes every bishop in the U.S. will recognize the vital role campus ministry plays in the Church’s mission.

When Troy isn’t busy leading campus ministry initiatives, he is on adventure with his wife of 16 years and their four children, who range in age from 6 to 14. We’re guessing he’s pretty good at keeping up with all the energy in his house!

Say Hello to Hilary Draftz, CCMA’s New Vice Chair

Hilary Draftz, our newly appointed Vice Chair, is no stranger to campus ministry. As the West Area Director for FOCUS, she’s been serving full-time since 2005. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Hilary became a FOCUS Missionary and has worked with students on campuses in Missouri, North Dakota, Virginia, and Colorado. Since 2011, she’s been part of FOCUS’ national office, where she’s helped lead their Growth & Innovation team and now oversees campus missionary teams in the western U.S.

Hilary’s passion for supporting campus ministers’ shines through in her hopes for CCMA’s future. She wants to see CCMA become the go-to source for personal and professional development, helping campus ministers across the country form Missionary Disciples who will carry the torch of the New Evangelization.

At home in Colorado, Hilary and her husband, Tim, are raising five wonderful, adopted children. We’re pretty sure “happily exhausted” sums up their family life perfectly!

Looking Forward Together

Both Troy and Hilary are united in their love for campus ministry and their vision for CCMA’s future. Under their leadership, we’re excited to continue supporting campus ministers nationwide, empowering them to spread the Gospel and bring more students into the heart of the Church.

Welcome, Troy and Hilary! Let’s make this a fantastic new chapter for CCMA!
